Who We Are

Altadena Talks Foundation is a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing disaster recovery, trusted public information, volunteer engagement, and community resilience throughout Altadena and beyond.

Through five core programs — from live community broadcasts and accessible multilingual content to the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Initiative℠ and the Disaster Voices Lab — we serve as Altadena's trusted information hub and recovery partner.

Our work has reached over 1.5 million community views, mobilized 232+ volunteers, cleared 247+ properties, and invested over $210,000 in community recovery efforts.

Antoinette “Toni” Raines

Director of Community Engagement

Toni Raines is the founder of the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Initiative℠ and the Director of Community Engagement at Altadena Talks Foundation. A US Air Force veteran, Toni brings decades of service, leadership, and commitment to community building.

She is also a co-host of the Altadena Talks Podcast, where she helps amplify community voices, share recovery stories, and connect residents with vital resources.

Under her leadership, the NHN Initiative has cleared over 247 properties, mobilized 232+ volunteers, and received 451+ property assistance requests from fire-affected residents.
